Happy "Remember Me" Day!

I'm taking the day off today so I can take Easter pictures of my cousin's baby go to the 1pm showing near my house in hopes that all the screaming tweens will still be in school. They don't get out early the Friday before spring break, do they?

So, let's all jump into my friend's DeLorean (yes, my friend really has one and YES, he let me drive it!) and go back to last summer when I stumbled across the film set:

Awww, sad Robward Tyler...

I've heard it's good, but sad. Of course, I didn't remember this until AFTER I put on non-waterproof mascara this morning. Stupid, stupid girl. I just need to remember to stuff some tissues into my seatbelt purse (it's made entirely out of recycled seatbelts... how cool is that?!) to help wipe away the drool face-leakage so I don't leave the theatre looking like a snotty raccoon.

UPDATE:

Just got back from seeing it. Two words: loved. it. And I'm not just saying that because you-know-who was in it. Seriously, I really enjoyed it! Enjoyed it in a sad way, not in a awww-I-have-warm-fuzzies-in-my-tummy kind of way. Didn't see the ending coming. At all. And, NO, I'm not going to say anything further about it. You'll just have to go see it for yourself. Really, go see it now. NOW.

I am kinda bummed about one thing tho: I got to see two scenes filmed. One made it (where Ally gets out of her dad's Bronco at school), one (the one with Rob watching her from across the street) got cut. Darn.

Discover Your Inner Hockey H00ker

In honor of what should be the most awesome rematch of 2010 (the USA vs Canada Olympic gold medal round hockey game today), I would like to introduce to you a most-awesome fan fic: The Misapprehension of Bella Swan Regarding the Inferior Intellect of Hockey Whores. It's written by HunterHunting, the author of Clipped Wings and Inked Armour, which is also most-awesome, and better yet, complete!

MoBS is absolutely hilarious and smutastic, and by "smutastic" I mean NSFW. If you're not into that kind of thing, go ahead and skip it. You will, however, be missing out on some great one-liners and "beaver" references that make you snarf your coke and snort-laugh.

It's still in the beginning stages (today was the release of chapter 5), just so ya know. Edward is from Canada. He and Emmett play for the Chicago Blackhawks and Bella is Em's snarky step-sister and is less-than-impressed by the "puck bunnies" that surround the team.

The linky is directed to HH's blog site, not fanfiction.net. Reason being is that all the good, smutty fics are systematically being taken down for being smutty, even though they are rated M (see The Office, The Dominate, The Submissive and The Training). Um, hello? That's what the M is for! One good thing is that since you're already on her blog site, she's posted all the chapters from CW&IA there for your perusal (yep, it was taken down from FF for the same reason).

Why Did It Take Me So Long To Find This Blog?!

I stumbled across the most awesomeness (Yes, that is a word. It is too! Because I said so... so there.) blog yesterday: http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/

I know I'm seriously late to the party here, but I'm sure I'm not the only one. You SERIOUSLY have to read (at the very least) her New Moon in 15 Minutes recap. If you don't end up laughing so hard you accidentally snarf your Vitamin Water (and I totally did this. Really. I'm still feeling the blueberry-pomegranate burn in my nose.), I can't be friends with you any longer. This chick is brilliant.

While you're reading it, make new tabs out of all her included linkies so you can go back and read. Pure. Unadulterated. Awesomeness.

You're welcome!

I May Be Growing Old, But I Refuse to Grow Up

I've finally gotten off my rear-end and planned my birthday shindig. Here are the deets for Saturday, Nov. 28th:

We're starting off at Rave Motion Pictures-Yorktown 15 (Hwy 6 @ Yorktown Crossing). Supposedly, New Moon is showing at 4:45pm. NOTE: I say "supposedly" because advanced tickets for that date haven't been released yet. However, that's the time it's showing this Saturday. Online tickets are now up! If you buy them online, you get a free download from iTunes of "Satellite Heart (Air Mail remix)" by Anya Marina off the movie's soundtrack. Get there early so we can all sit together! If you have Twilight attire, wear it! I'll be there in my La Push Cliff Diving Team shirt!

I only have two requirements to attend this part:

1.
You MUST have read Twilight or seen at least seen the first movie! I'm NOT missing a shirtless Rob Pattinson to explain what's going on. ;-)

2
. No stinky boys allowed at the movie part. They are welcome to join us later (see below).

After the movie, say about 7pm, we're heading to my house where we will dine on Italian dishes (token Volterra reference), eat vampire cupcakes and get our drink on! Boys ARE allowed here and no previous Twilight experience is required.

I happen to own the Twilight board game. Although, the game itself completely sucks, it has serious potential in becoming an awesome drinking game. Might just have to try out that theory at the party!

Lighting birthday candles is almost as fun as setting James on fire!

And the TwiCrack Just Keeps Coming!

OMG, Michael Sheen is going to be super-creepy as Aro!

Yep, Big Brother axed this one too. *sigh*
